Found my UFO Interceptor in a box in the garden shed! This was given to me as a gift whilst I was in hospital for a week following a tonsillectomy in 1974. The spring-launched missile got taken one night. Can't imagine why.
I'd been enjoying re-runs of Gerry Anderson's live action 1970 science fiction show prior to admission so receiving the toy model had been a real treat.
Still don't know why the manufacturer decided to colour the Interceptor green and orange when it wasn't like that in the show, but it was a cherished gift nonetheless.
Now where's my SHADO tank...
